Miss Violet Teacake and Friends
Miss Violet Teacake is a maiden lady who loves all things tea. She is apt to
be a little dreamy, scatterbrained and the very best chum a person could imagine.
She runs her little household well and loves to make room for friends and family
Along the way, you will meet her sister H. Harriet Hatrack, (the H. stands for
Hyacinth, but don't let her know I am the one who told). Harriet is a librarian by
trade and loves all things paper. She thinks Violet quite frivolous, but a dear sister
indeed. Harriet's one indulgence is a craving for hats. Hats with scarves, hats
with brooches, big hats, little hats, that's our dear Harriet.
That brings me to Duchess Delphinium Hammersley, Violet's somewhat ancient
aunt. She is very prim, very proper, and verrry English. Putting on airs describes
"Dilly", (a nick-name with a story for another time) to a tee. She lives in Shabby
gentility and visits when she needs to sell a piece of her fine English china.
Although no relation to the Hammersleys of Hammersley China,
when you see a piece of Hammersley China for sale,
you will know the Duchess has been to visit.
I guess that leaves me. I am Gardenia Abigail Bluebell Boxwoody, Gabby for
short. I am the girl of all work. I keep the hearth clean, the sister's fed. the linens
ironed, the attic arranged, the guest room ready, and enjoy being part of
this wonderful household.
By the way, did I mention we are Bunnies and live along the Violet strewn lane
in Harrington Woods? Well, perhaps later I will tell you how three bunnies
made over the old vicarage at Harrington Woods. Feel free to stop in anytime
and explore, we are blessed to make your acquaintance.
